From small beginnings in the 1850s, the University of Brighton has grown to a complex and diverse institution based in three towns across the south coast of England. The university places strong emphasis on values, particularly inclusivity, sustainability, creativity and partnership. Brighton is only a short train ride from London, and has great links to other cities. They are regarded highly in practical arts subjects, from fashion design to painting.

ABOUT THE CITY

Located in Brighton’s cultural quarter of the city centre, just a few minutes walk from the seafront, Brighton CCA is the university’s Centre for Contemporary Arts. It has fast and frequent connections to major cities including Portsmouth, Southampton and London.

The university has three campuses in Brighton and one in Eastbourne. On all campuses, students can access libraries, accommodation and student support centres offering careers and academic support. Sports facilities are also provided, including a gym and pool.
